Thinking in the dark: Taim × Orisen

Our search for the right form factor for capture starts in the bedroom.

Our search for the right form factor for capture starts in the bedroom.

The search for the right form factor

Taim is built on a simple idea: capture should happen wherever thoughts actually show up. Today, the Taim phone shortcut does that well, with one press and a voice note that goes straight to the right place.

But the honest answer is that nobody knows the right form factor for capture yet, and neither do we. Pins, pendants, glasses, wearables: the whole industry is still figuring it out. We don’t think the answer is to guess. We think it’s to explore, test with real people, and learn where capture actually fits into their lives.

That’s why we’re working with Orisen. The bedroom is one of the most compelling places to start. Before sleep and right after waking up are when people unload the most, when the mind is busiest with what’s unfinished, and when reaching for a screen feels like the wrong move. We think it’s an amazing use case, and a great place to learn what screenless capture should feel like.

Taim × Orisen

Orisen is building an intelligent sleep device that lives in the bedroom, mounted on the wall rather than held in your hand. It’s designed around better nights and easier mornings.

With this integration, Orisen Pro users will have direct access to Taim. They can speak their thoughts out loud at night or first thing in the morning, and Taim takes it from there: each thought becomes a thread, gets scheduled, or gets done.

In practice, that might look like saying, before bed, “I need to call the dentist, pick up Maya’s jacket from school, and I have an idea for the pitch deck.” By morning, the call is on your list, the pickup is on your calendar, and the idea is waiting in the right thread, with no screen involved.

Unload before sleep, and wake up to a clear head and a plan.

Context portability in practice

This integration is an example of how Taim was designed from day one: your context isn’t locked into one app or one device. Whether a thought is captured on your phone, through another AI tool, or through a device on your bedroom wall, it all ends up in one place, organized, actionable, and yours.

That matters more as the number of devices and agents in people’s lives grows. The more places you can capture, the more important it becomes that everything comes together in one place, and that you stay in control of it. Capturing in more places should never mean losing track of more things.

What we’re exploring

This is the start of an exploration, and we’re going in with real questions, not assumptions.

  • Is this how people actually operate? We believe the night before is when people prepare for the next day. We want to see if bedtime and waking up are really when people unload.

  • Do people dump ideas, or actions? The answer shapes how much Taim should save as context, and how much should go straight to action.

  • What happens when great hardware meets great software? We want to learn what each brings to the moment, and how they work best together. The real test is simple: do Orisen users sleep with a clearer head and wake up more prepared?

We’ll share what we learn along the way.

Technology should meet people where they are, and sometimes that’s the pillow, not the screen.

Building in hardware?

Orisen is our first step beyond the phone, and it won’t be the last. We’re looking for partners building devices that could become new ways for people to capture and act on their thoughts: in the home, on the go, or somewhere nobody has thought of yet.

If you’re building in hardware and want to work together, get in touch with us.

Answers to what you’re wondering about.

What is Kyrosphere?

Kyrosphere builds personal context infrastructure for the age of agents. Our consumer product is Taim, a thought-capturing assistant for everyday life. Kyros is Greek for authority and sphere means world, and we want to give you authority over yours.

What is your mission?

To put people back in charge of their technology. Most people feel AI is happening to them, not for them. We want to take people on a journey to change that. We make AI useful in a non-invasive way: it clears the bottlenecks in their day without changing the way they work, and brings some balance back. The world we're working towards is one where everyone has authority over their own context, and nobody has to learn AI to benefit from it.

What do you mean by personal context infrastructure?

It's a layer that holds what your agents need to know about you and lets you take it anywhere, with your permission. Today every agent learns about you separately, through connectors you set up again each time, and none of them share it. We believe context should be portable by default to any agent and the user should decide exactly what each agent sees.

What do you see that others don't?

AI adoption is limited by how much the technology asks of people. The industry keeps competing on how smart its models are, while most people still face a blank text box they're expected to learn. Its answer to context is one more app with a long list of connectors to set up, and most people don't want that. We think the companies that build an intuitive, AI-native interface that delivers immediate value with minimal friction will win the consumer space.
